Dr Angela Yang completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2016, and went on to pass the Australian Dental Council Practitioner Assessment. She has since undertaken extensive further training, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Dentistry (Endodontics) at the University of Pretoria and advanced implant education through the Australasian Implant Academy and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, as well as the Master Implantologist program through New York University.
Having practised in both South Africa and Australia since 2016, Angela brings experience across general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery and implant restorative treatment. Her clinical interests centre on implant dentistry, full arch rehabilitation and digital implant planning, and her hands-on work has focused on the restorative phase of implant treatment alongside exposure to the surgical phase. She continues to build her surgical implant experience working alongside the experienced dental team at The Sydney Implant Institute.
Dr Angela Yang takes the time to understand the person behind each case, listening to a patient’s concerns, experiences and goals before developing a plan that reflects their individual needs and lifestyle. Calm, approachable and gentle, she explains complex options in plain language, supported by photographs and digital scans, so that patients stay informed and involved in every decision.
Having experienced sensitivity to discomfort herself, Angela has a genuine appreciation for patients who feel nervous about treatment, and she works at a pace that helps them feel in control, so that no concern is dismissed and every question feels welcome.
Raised in South Africa within a Taiwanese family, Angela has a strong appreciation for different cultures, perspectives and ways of communicating. Outside of dentistry she enjoys travelling, discovering new cafés, shopping and spending time with family and friends, and as a devoted dog lover she rarely misses the chance to stop and say hello to one.
